Works really well on induction stove, (What's this?) I have been very impressed with this wok. It hold heat really well, and works quite well on my induction stove. the flat bottom also makes it a natural for my induction cooktop.
The inside is curved, however, so you get traditional wok action with having hot center and cooler outside.
My only slight beef is a stickiness due to manufacturers seasoning. Not sure if its worth starting over.....
Very pleased, (What's this?) I've looked around for over a year for a wok. The wok shop is well respected, and has great prices. But I finally decided on the Lodge cast iron.
very sturdy but a little too heavy for me, (What's this?)
Cast Iron Wok, (What's this?)
If you want some of the best meals that you could cook I highly recommend that you buy one of these Woks. You will get rave reviews from your family. Don't just think it is for stir fry only it is great for any meal you want to cook in a matter of minutes. Even the kids will love eating healthier meals.
I label this another must buy.
Good Wok., It is a nice wok but heavy. Need both hands to pour out. Only need very short time to heat it.
Lodge Pro Logic 14" Cast Iron Wok, (What's this?) Solid construction, easy to clean and priced right. Cooking with this wok is easy and lots of fun. I would recommend this product to a friend.
Too heavy and cumbersome-Not for genuine Chinese cooking, (What's this?) No doubt, this is a very well made cast iron wok, and I knew beforehand that it was going to be heavy. However, I found it personally just TOO HEAVY and a pain to handle (tossing, cleaning, and storing). The interior surface is also a bit rougher than I expected, making it a little harder to slide my ss spatula around without snagging in the nooks and crannies.
love the quality, (
Probably great, but not the product for me, (What's this?) I ordered and received this, and while I'm sure it's a great product, it was WAY too heavy for my use. Think of you favorite cast iron frying pan formed into the shape of a wok, weighing 14 lbs. Although rounded on the inside, it's flat on the bottom, which caused the wok not to fit into the wok accepting grates on my gas range. Also, when the grate was in its flat position, his wok sat so high above the flame I thought it would take too long to properly heat. If this one is your cup of tea, I'm sure it's a great product, but I reordered the hand hammered 12" cast iron wok instead, seasoned according to directions, and so far the new item has been a great purchase.
heavy and nice, (What's this?) this is a quality product. one thing to remember though, it has been heated a long time to get really hot. and only when it is hot, it is not sticking.
Preseasoned with vegetable oil formula and ready for immediate use.Cast-iron surface heats slowly and evenly to prevent burning.14-inch cast-iron wok for stir-fries and other recipes.Includes pair of large loop handles; lifetime warranty.Nonstick, rustproof finish cleans easily; hand wash only. The wok hails from Lodge's Pro Logic line, which updates the classic Lodge look with contemporary rolled edges and graceful curved lines. Pro Logic items are also preseasoned through a proprietary "electrostatic" vegetable oil spray system. The preseasoning process readies the wok for cooking right out of the box, making it far more convenient than old-style cast-iron items that required oil and oven seasoning before use. The timesaving process also generates a nonstick finish that helps preserve the cookware for generations. As with most cast-iron cookware, Lodge recommends hand washing the wok to protect the surface. It also carries a lifetime warranty. Cook up a scrumptious Mediterranean chicken stir-fry or a classic Mandarin pork and vegetable dish in this Lodge cast-iron wok. The vessel measures a generous 14 inches in diameter and 4-1/2 inches deep--large enough for virtually any family-size recipe. And thanks to its heavy-duty cast-iron construction, it cooks its contents beautifully, spreading the heat evenly throughout the bottom and all the way up the sides. The wok's esteemed heat retention is especially suited to browning meats and frying noodles, as its temperature never wavers. Chefs will also appreciate the pan's steady base, which stays stationary on the burner, along with the large loop handles that make it easy to maneuver.
